Umbrakinesis is the metaphysical manipulation of shadow, which is very much an actuality. Since in our reality shadow exists only within some consistency of light, this ability is a brother to lumokinesis. Umbrakinesis is the manipulation of shadow by a means of a transmission creating a repulsive field, and manipulation of obverse polarities causing the repulsion of photons from each other or from, or seemingly from, an individual. Umbrakinetics use this field and polarity to push photons away from each other, not away from their own physical body. Umbrakinetics start a field at a focal point of their choosing and repel the photons from that point. In the case of photons seemingly being repelled from the physical body of the umbrakinetic, they are most likely in theory creating a focal point near the core of their body. When this repulsion is induced, the dispersal of light dims an area to shadow starting at the focal point. Because of this the area directly around the focal point will always contain less photons, be darker, then the areas further from the focal point. Umbrakinesis can be linked in correlation to shadow travel, which is theoretically explained here as shadow plus movement equals a transference of energy or matter. Shadow travel in history and myth is linked primarily to shamanic gifts, abilities of a Shaman. Here at QPsychics.com, our course curriculums and content are free resources offered by The University of Alternative Studies. The University itself will soon be offering fee based degree programs for an array of psychical studies. All curriculums and free content will be added here on QP for those who may not wish to acquire a degree in said studies, or are simply looking for free resources. Curriculums, content and suggested reading materials are complementary to the Universities degree programs so you can receive a solid education in the sciences behind specific psychical and alternative studies without the cost of a formal degree. Courses of instruction provided opportunities for students and working adults to study alternative fields in a distance learning and online format for personal, educational or professional advancement. The courses are designed for mature students who have the ability to work independently and the desire and motivation to utilize course education into creative and professional applications. Courses vary in credit hours combining textbooks and audio, video and text based lectures. Our courses of instruction are for those of all ages who are dedicated to knowing more about how psychical abilities work. Knowing the science behind how an ability works enables those who may actually posses, or work with claimants possessing, said ability to create customized exercises to control and enhance an ability. Not knowing the laws that govern psychical abilities will inevitably decrease the ability to work with these abilities exponentially. Working against the laws of physics will only result in disappointment, confusion and in the case of claimants - additional psychical side effects.

The University of Alternative Studies degree programs are not based in abstract mysticism. Rather, the University applies a array of scientific studies relative to specific psychical abilities to provide a solid educational foundation for students. Continuing Education for Parapsychologists

Enrollment and Exams
QP's alternative study courses do not require enrollment or examinations prior to taking a course or for receiving a certificate. You can however sign up as a recognized current student or graduate at the bottom of any course page.
Course Certification Recommendation
Courses curriculums and content are sectioned into three different levels of difficulty including Basic, General and Advanced as opposed to the Universities degree programs Associates, Bachelors and Masters. Our Basic Certification is complementary to their Associates Degree Program, General Certification is complementary to their Bachelor’s Degree program and Advanced Certification is complementary to their Masters Degree Program. Advanced Certification content is suggested to those who have completed its General Certification equivalent.

Children and Abilities
I have always strongly advised in the utmost discretion when it comes to children with possible psychic or kinetic abilities. If you suspect your child is gifted it is best to educated them in the sciences surrounding their ability first and foremost. Make learning fun by creating games to exercise their abilities. Be careful what terms you use around your child when playing games and learning because children remember terms and limited descriptions. Using terms like “psychic” or “gifted” can result in the child using these terms in conversations outside of the home. If your child uses these terms in conversations with teachers, friends or family the result could haunt your child for many days, weeks, years or even life long. Discretion is strongly advised until the later teen years.

A Degree Through The University of Alternative Studies
In the future you will have the option of receiving a non-honorary degree by taking a thorough exam proving you have learned a great deal from our courses. This degree will not be from QP or have the title of honorary on the degree. Instead, you will be receiving this degree from QP’s sister university (The University of Alternative Studies).
The University of Alternative Studies will be offering fee based extensive online exams for courses similar to QP courses in the near future. We encourage students of QP courses to study very hard and cover all course material provided whether they choose to receive an honorary certification or non-honorary degree. The University offers three degree types including Associates Degrees, Bachelors Degrees and Masters Degrees. The University of Alternative Studies is a U.S. based non-accredited university offering unique degrees in various alternative areas. Courses are highly scientific and complex and exams are very challenging. More information to come in the future.
